Margaret Kilgallen was born in 1967 in DC, and received her BA in printmaking from Colorado College in 1989. She had an extended interest and knowledge of American folk art traditions, printmaking and letterpress. Her beautiful work recall of a time when personal craft and handmade signs were the norm. She died in 2001 in San Fransisco, where she lived with her husband, Barry McGee.
